It has been quite some time since my last post. I apologize for those of you awaiting an update on the BIG Runyan move. If I told you everything I would have to write a Novel. Here it is in a nutshell: The Move was stressful and very eventful. We were suppose to move in to our new place on May 23rd, but we actually moved in May 30th. So imagine the 7 stressful days of waiting for the house in Oregon to close, so we could buy the house in Cali. All in all well worth the wait:-) WE LOVE OUR NEW PLACE. It has a lot of character because it is 45 years old. And because it's 45 years old there are things we are working on fixing (i.e the beloved Pool house).
UNPACKING;The Saga continues....Okay all of you parents out there. Why didn't anyone inform me that it is almost impossible to unpack with a 3 year old. Not to brag my daughter is pretty helpful and patient, but unpacking a whole house even proved to be too much for her. Happily we are mostly unpacked 3 weeks later, but I still can't park in the garage because that is a whole other project. I am happy to report that Bella's room is painted and looks almost like her room in Oregon (per her request). She even picked out the same ceiling fan (honorable mention for Daniel it took him 4 days and many trips into a very small and hot attic to get the fan installed properly).
3 weeks might not seem like an eternity to most of you, but I couldn't handle the clutter and the disorganization of it all...So Bella started school a week and half ago (ha ha). She loves it and so do I. In the little bit of time she's been going they had a bounce house, a petting zoo, and a pajama day:-)
Daniel loves his new job, but like anything new there are growing pains. Like working the day shift and waking up at 4am. In my opinion that is still the night before:-) He doesn't complain and he says he's learning alot. He is signed up for classes and everything.
ME I love the SUNSHINE being closer to family and spending time with our long time friends, who are basically our family too:-) The first night we arrived May 21st (stayed at a hotel for a while) I joined a book club and the women in the book club are really great. We all have small children, so it's easy to talk to any of them about questions or just blowing off steam. And I get to read some cool books, which I honestly haven't read much in the last 10 years. Prior to college I would read a book a week easily. I am hoping to rediscover my love of the written word.
I have not visited my Local scrapbook store yet, but rest assured I will soon. We are loving Trader Joe's, so much that I haven't been to the regular grocery store yet. I am healthy and growing by the day and in a mere 2 weeks we will find out the sex of the next baby Runyan. This is a record long BLOG for me so HASTA.
